Currently the game supports casual and tournament play. With a fairly robust community around the world and plenty of online community via discord channels, it isn't difficult to strike up a conversation with another player.

It is worth addressing however, that because of the games many releases, it does have some balance issues but the game is still very playable. This of course creates a 'meta' regarding what units are 'must haves' and of course what units hardly ever see play. However, if you're simply a casual gamer looking to scratch that tabletop itch for Star Wars, look no further.

Play Styles of Each Faction

  1. Galactic Empire: As the embodiment of Imperial might, the Galactic Empire relies on overwhelming firepower and disciplined troops. 1. Separatists: Emphasising an overwhelming force of droid armies, the Separatists have a unique play style centered on sheer numbers and 'hordes' of droid units. Battle Droids and the imposing AAT tank provide them with a formidable presence on the battlefield. Notable characters and units for the CIS include Count Dooku, Darth Maul, STAP Riders, and recently Asajj Ventress.

  1. Mercenary/Shadow Collective: Led by the foreboding Maul, the Shadow Collective is a cunning and diverse force. Their play style revolves around stealth, infiltration, and surprise attacks.
